The driver of a coach in a crash that killed two people near London's Heathrow airport has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, police said today.

Police said one woman and one man were dead after the bus overturned late last night on a motorway slip road.

Two children were among those hurt, and survivors had limbs amputated at the scene by paramedics.

A further nine people were seriously injured after the coach travelling from London to Aberdeen overturned at 11.45pm yesterday.

Twenty ambulances, five fire engines, a fire brigade specialist rescue unit and eight doctors attended the scene.

There were 65 people on board the coach, and firefighters used cutting equipment to free 36 people.

The coach involved in the incident was the 22.30 National Express service 592 from London Victoria to Aberdeen. It was due to arrive in Aberdeen at 10.25am today after stopping at Heathrow airport, Carlisle, Hamilton, Glasgow and Dundee.
