A man will face charges of dangerous driving after his car hit and killed an 11-year-old boy in west Belfast and critically injured the boy's brother and a girl.

The 42-year-old man was arrested for causing death by dangerous driving. He will appear in court on Monday.

Eleven-year-old Christopher Shaw, from Valleyside Close, off the Springfield Road died after he was struck by the car just after 8 p.m. last night. His 13-year-old brother and an eight-year-old girl were critically injured in the same incident.

The children were part of a group hit by the car at the junction of the Falls Road and Springfield road.
