Drogheda will stay in the Eircom Premier Division for at least another season having staged a remarkable comeback at O2 Park against Galway United in the Play-off final second-leg this afternoon.

Galway held a two goal advantage ahead of today's tie and despite the game being forced into extra time by second half goals from And Myler and Declan O'Brien, they looked to have the advantage after Drogheda's influential midfielder Declan Quinless was sent off.

But right back Mark O'Connor popped up moments later to score the decisive goal and shatter Galway's dreams of top flight football.
