A chronic heroin addict found in possession of cannabis valued at over €750,000 has been jailed for 10 years at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
Jason Cullen (34), of Rathcoole Drive, Dublin,admitted possessing the drug for the purposes of sale or supply on November 13th, 2003, at a house on Westbourne Green, Clondalkin.
John McGrane (43) of the Westbourne Green address was earlier jailed for eight years on similar charges.
Det Garda Darragh O'Toole told Mr Paul Carroll, prosecuting, that McGrane's house was under surveillance on November 13th, 2003, when gardaí observed a truck arrive carrying pallets of air conditioners.
McGrane arrived in the truck with the driver and assisted him in unloading the container.
Det Garda O'Toole said forensic analysis later revealed this substance to be cannabis resin.
