An inquest into the death of a man gunned down in a gangland murder more than two years ago was today adjourned after gardai revealed further arrests had been made.
Noel Roche (27) was shot dead in a car in November 2005 outside a Clontarf pub in a suspected revenge attack.
Inspector Angela Willis of Raheny Garda Station told Dublin City Coroner Dr Brian Farrell that more arrests had been made in the last month and she requested the case be put back for six months.
Dr Farrell told Mr Roche's mother and aunt, who were watching proceedings from the public gallery, that he had no choice but to adjourn the hearing to allow for the investigation.
Mr Roche, from Dublin, was killed on November 15 2005 when the black Ford Mondeo in which he was travelling was sprayed with bullets outside a pub on the Clontarf Road.
It is believed the murder was a revenge attack for the shooting of Darren Geoghegan and Gavin Byrne in the Firhouse area of the city two days earlier.
Mr Roche's brother John was shot dead in Kilmainham the previous March as part of a feud between two rival gangs.
