London - The government pledged yesterday to use some of the assets seized from drug barons to help British addicts deal with their addiction. The commitment was part of a 10year strategy for confronting a very serious problem, with the most serious drug misusers alone costing more than £4 billion sterling a year. Unveiling the policy, cabinet minister Ann Taylor said assets confiscated from drugs traffickers had amounted to at least £5 million in each of the last five years.
