Gardaí in Louth seized herbal cannabis worth €210,000 last night when they stopped and searched a car at Haggardstown near the village of Blackrock, south of Dundalk.
Three men were arrested. A substantial amount of cash was also recovered.
The men, aged 63, 32 and 28, are being held at Dundalk and Drogheda Garda stations under section 2 of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act 1996.
As part of a follow-up investigation, four more searches took place in Dundalk and Coolock in Dublin

In one of the Coolock searches, a smaller amount of cannabis resin and cash worth €200,000 were seized.
