Gardai have seized cocaine and cannabis with an estimated street value of €3.5 million after a raid on a premises in a west Dublin industrial estate today.

Gardai said in an statement they havearrested a man in his twenties from the Drimnagh area of Dublin as part of the same operation. He is being questioned at Clondalkin Garda Station under Section 2 Drugs Trafficking Act.

More than 420 kilos of herbal cannabis and 10 kilos of cocaine were seized. A gun and some ammunition was also seized.

The seizures and arrest were part of a joint operation by the Garda National Drugs Unit, officers from local drug units and the Crime Task Force along with several European police forces.
