A "cloud computing" company has today announced it plans to create more than 100 jobs in Dublin.
Salesforce.com, which employs nearly 300 staff in the capital, said it is taking on staff to meet the demands of new business and growth and expansion in Ireland.
Positions to be filled include corporate sales account executives, business development specialists and roles in technical IT and support.
"Salesforce.com has been investing in Ireland since 2001 and now has almost 300 employees across sales, renewals and customer success," Dr Steve Garnett of Salesforce.com said.
“The next phase in the cloud computing model is being driven from the changes that are driving the consumer web. The impact of social networking and collaboration, new mobile devices like the iPad, and the drive for real-time information are changing business expectations, the same way they have changed consumer ones,” Dr Garnett said.
The company is holding a recruitment day on October 13th at the salesforce.com offices in Sandyford Business Park. Details about the event are available at the company's website.
