Gardai are investigating the petrol-bombing of a west Dublin home early yesterday in which a woman and her 16year-old son escaped injury. The woman was in the living room when the petrol bomb came through the window and hit the carpet. The house, at Neilstown Crescent, Clondalkin, was badly damaged.
A garda source said the attack was "reckless in the extreme" and had put the lives of those in the house in danger.
