Workers on strike at Dublin Port are returning to work after an agreement was reached between the Port Authority and the Technical Engineering and Electrical Union (TEEU) today.
All employees - including those suspended, in dispute or supporting the three -eek long dispute - will return to work this afternoon.
The controversial familiarisation and training of shore-based staff on the company's tugs, which sparked the strike action, has been suspended.
The employers and the union have agreed that all outstanding matters are to be referred to the Labour Court for a thorough investigation.
It has also been agreed that there will be no victimisation of or recrimination against any Port employees arising from this dispute.
TEEU Regional Secretary Arthur Hall said: "Common sense has ruled the day and mechanisms must be put in place to prevent such a dispute at the port happening again.
"I also want thanked Siptu and SUI [Seaman's Union of Ireland] members for their show of solidarity and support during the dispute, as well as the Irish Congress of Trade Unions and its staff for their assistance in achieving a peace formula," he added.
