Residents in parts of north inner city Dublin were today warned they face disruptions to their water supply.
Dublin City Council said essential work will result in reduced pressures and a loss of supply between 7.30am and midnight.
A number of mobile tankers will be available to provide assistance to elderly and vulnerable people.
A council spokesman said all efforts will be made to minimise disruption.
"Dublin City Council apologises for the inconvenience caused. With the public's co-operation and understanding, we hope to keep the disruption to a minimum," he added.
The areas likely to be affected are North Circular Road, Phibsborough Road, Berkeley Road and surrounding areas.
