Mr Dunne's requiem mass was concelebrated by Fr Richard Redmond, a family friend, Fr William Cosgrave, the parish priest of Monagear and Fr Michael Byrne, the curate at Boolavogue.
Delivering the homily, Fr Redmond said last weekend's tragedy had thrown those who knew the family into a state of complete confusion. "Our minds are crowded with questions which are difficult to answer, our hearts are flooded with emotions that are almost impossible to handle," he said.
