New Delhi - An earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale struck northern India early this morning, killing at least 10 people and causing widespread panic in cities including New Delhi.
In Uttar Pradesh, local police chief Gyan Singh said at least 10 people died in housing collapses in the town of Chamoli, some 100 km from the epicentre.
