The European Central Bank today left its interest rates unchanged as expected - standing firm in the face of recent rate cuts by the world's other top central banks.
The ECB has kept its key minimum bid rate unchanged at 4.75 per cent since last October.
The ECB said in a brief statement that it kept the marginal lending rate and the deposit rate, which form a corridor for money market rates, unchanged at 5.75 per cent and 3.75 per cent, respectively. It made no further comment.
