A report published today by Bank of Ireland Treasury and International indicates that the economy will grow by five per cent for the remainder of the year.

According to the bank's chief economist, Mr Dan McLaughlin, exports will push growth with expansion predicted to be in the region of six per cent next year.

The report suggest that unemployment will peak at 4.5 per cent in the coming months with inflation remaining higher than the euro zone average.
