A one-day seminar on in-service training will be held at ASTI House, Winetavern Street, Dublin on Tuesday, November 4th. It will deal with how teachers should respond to and help students who have suffered bereavement. The course will also look at support services for the bereaved child and advice on wholeschool responses.
On the same day Cork Education Centre will host a seminar on responses to allegations or suspicions of child abuse and on the implementation of Departmental guidelines and how schools might avail of child care services. One week later the same course will be run at Carrick-on-Shannon Education Centre.
