Current job: Weatherman on TV3

What schools did you attend? St Malachy's Boys N.S. and De La Salle, Raheny, Dublin.

Had you any famous schoolmates? Not really. But all remembered fondly.

Hidden talents at school? Not being a teacher's pet.

Best subject? At primary, quite a few. Secondary, hit skid row!

Worst subject? Art.

Most inspirational teacher and why? Michael Kennedy in St Malachy's, because he respected us. We responded by giving him the respect he deserved. We gave it because we wanted to, and not out of fear.

Where did you go to college? Didn't.

What's your best memory of school? My religion teacher, Mr Finn, asking me to read, several times too, an answer my Dad gave to the question "What is the Mass?" As part of homework, one of your parents had to give an answer to the question. I was very proud of my Dad that day.

What's your worst memory of school?

The old-fashioned nature of the regime, in some cases.
