Electronic engineering degrees are also offered through the common entry engineering programmes in UCD (465 points) and TCD (415 points). UCG is introducing a new common entry degree in 1998. (* random selection).

Carlow RTC - bachelor of technology in production technology. Dundalk RTC - product design engineering. Galway RTC - digital and software systems engineering. Sligo RTC - quality assurance. Tallaght RTC - manufacturing engineering. WIT - computer-aided manufacturing.

Certs and diplomas:

All RTCs, WIT and DIT offer electronic engineering at certificate and/or diploma level. Some offer electronics combined with telecommunications and mechanical engineering.

PLC courses: A number of PLC colleges offer courses in electronics and related areas. Check with your local VEC or PLC college.
