The final round of CAO offers for Leaving Cert students is available online today, with those who had their results rechecked finding out if they have secured preferred courses.
Joseph O’Grady, general manager of the CAO, said that if students now find themselves qualified for a course but there are no places left, they may take up the course next year.
“Applicants receiving a new offer can apply to the institution for a deferral, or they can accept the offer. They also have the option of ignoring the new offer and continuing with any existing course that they may have previously accepted.”
Today 389 CAO offers are issued for level 8 and level 7/6 courses, bringing the number of level 8 courses issued this year to almost 49,300. The total number of level 7/6 will rise to just under 41,950.
Applicants have until 5.15pm on Wednesday, October 15th to accept.
