Griffith College on Dublin's South Circular Road runs Leaving Cert classes from from Monday to Friday. The school day typically lasts from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. The fees for the current school year are £2,000. The college also has Easter revision courses in a number of Leaving Cert subjects. No Leaving Cert class has more than 20 students. Students normally have an average of four different subjects a day. Attendance and performance are monitored and the college maintains a close contact with parents.
Bruce College in South William Street, Dublin, which is also based in Limerick, Cork and Belfast, offers a two-year full-time programme for fifth year and sixth year, a sixth year and a repeat Leaving Cert course. The college also offers an Easter revision course, which runs April 25th to 29th. The student has a choice from a range of subjects. Bruce College is currently offering four subjects for the price of three. Each subject costs £80 or for eight subjects it costs £3,150. Supervised study is run each day from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and the college also has a Junior Cert revision course.
The Institute of Education in Leeson Street, Dublin offers a two-year full-time Leaving Cert course. Annual fees are £2,750. The institute also offers an Easter revision course for Leaving Cert students. The student can choose at most four subjects and the fees work out as follows: one subject for £90, two subjects for £155, three for £195 and four at £235. The institute runs supervised study throughout the day which runs from 8.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. Ashfield College in Templeogue, Dublin, offers a two-year fifth- and sixth-year course as well as a seventh-year repeat course. Fees for the academic year are £2,900. The college also runs an Easter revision course for Leaving Cert students.
Students can choose from a variety of subjects at Ashfield, which offers four subjects for the price of three. Fees for the revision course are as follows: one subject at £70, two subjects for £130, three for £180.
Pre-University Centre on Upper Fitzwilliam Street in Dublin has a two-year course and a one year repeat course for Leaving Cert students. It does not offer any short-term revision courses. Classes in study techniques are given to all students in the first term and individual counselling is available. Supervised study facilities are available until 9 p.m. each evening and during the day also. The fee for the next academic year is £2,800. The average class size is 12 with a maximum of 20.
