What's the boldest thing you ever did in school? I was a swot. I was always good!!

Who was your favourite teacher and why? Mr Egan from Riversdale. He was real down to earth, he got on well with everyone and was my tutor for three years.

Who was the object of your first crush? When I was leaving senior school I fancied my teacher, but most girls did at 12 years of age!

What was your earliest career ambition? I wanted to be a nun and join the missions with Mother Teresa.

Were you cool or nerdy at school? I think I was cool - well, I got on well with everyone.

Did you go to college? I did a Post-Leaving Cert course in applied lab science in Coláiste Dhulaigh in Coolock.

What song most reminds you of your schooldays? Black Betty by Ram Jam Everyone used to mosh to that one in the discos!

What would you look for when choosing a school for your own children? A mixed school with friendly, fair teachers.

Were your school days the best days of your life? Well, I suppose there where some great memories
