Brody Sweeney answers questions about his education and career.
Current job: Founder and CEO of O'Brien's Irish Sandwich Bars. Seeking Fine Gael Dáil nomination for the Dublin North East constituency.
What schools did you go to? Willow Park, Blackrock College and Rockwell College.
Best subject? Business studies and geography.
Worst subject? Irish unfortunately, because I wish now I had learnt it.
What's the boldest thing you ever did in school? Once we put cling film over the seats in the ladies' staff toilets. We got into a lot of trouble.
Who was your favourite teacher and why? Miss Curtin in second class in Willow Park. As a small boy I remember having a crush on her. When we moved from second into third year, the class attempted to go on strike so that we could have her for just one more year.
Who was the object of your first crush? The above mentioned Miss Curtin.
What was your earliest career ambition? To be a musician.
Were you cool or nerdy at school? Looking back on my school photos nerdy is the first word that comes to mind (see below), but I definitely thought I was God's gift to young males.
Did you go to college? I "attended" what was then the NIHE in Dublin and what is now DCU. I dropped out in second year of business studies to start a business with my dad, which was called Prontaprint.
What song most reminds you of your schooldays? In sixth year, in the school Christmas drama, I played Johnny Fingers from the Boomtown Rats and we played I Don't Like Mondays. This still does it for me.
Were your school days the best days of your life? I enjoyed my school days, though in truth I wasn't motivated to succeed academically.
