What schools did you go to? I went to Gaelscoil Dara in Renmore and Dominican College in Taylors Hill, Galway.

Best subject? Gaeilge for sure. I never found it difficult because I learnt it at such a young age.

Worst subject? French, I couldn't grasp it all.

What's the boldest thing you ever did in school? In primary school my friend and I used to copy each other in spelling tests and then "correct" each other's spelling, it's a wonder I can spell at all.

Who was your favourite teacher and why? I loved all my primary school teachers. The school was very small when I was there so I knew them all well. I taught with them two years ago, so to pick one wouldn't be fair.

Who was the object of your first crush? Shane from Home and Away.

What was your earliest career ambition? I used to sing Eurovision songs and hoped one day I would sing in it. Then I realised I couldn't sing.

Were you cool or nerdy at school? I was somewhere in between - I did my work but I didn't overwork myself either.

Did you go to college? Yes, I went to Mary Immaculate College in Limerick and NUIG last year.

What song most reminds you of your school days? I Should Be So Lucky - Kylie Minogue

What would you look for when choosing a school for your own children? I would like to send my children to the schools I went to. I would definitely send them to a Gaelscoil because Irish has opened so many doors for me.

Were your school days the best days of your life? No doubt about it.
