What was your best subject?

My best subjects were English and French.

Who was your favourite teacher and why?

Two teachers stand out in my mind - Mrs Governey from junior school and Mrs Madden from secondary school. Mrs Governey was just really lovely and kind to us, while Mrs Madden had this mischievous twinkle in her eye, so even when she was giving out to you for being a terror, you knew she was quite amused really. At least that's what I convinced myself!

Who was your childhood idol?

Dirk Benedict who was Face in The A-Team and also in Battlestar Galactica. I met him last year through work and I was like "I used to fancy you when I was seven!" He wasn't too impressed.

Who was your best friend and why?

My best friend when I was four is still my best friend. Her name's Grainne Moran and I think we were made sit together on the first day of school.

What is she doing now?

Grainne is an accountant now and doing very well for herself - it's great because I can't add so she comes in handy.

What TV show/film most reminds you of your schooldays?

Probably Bosco when I was really small - my Mum does a killer impression of Bosco - she'll be mortified when she reads this. Also Wanderly Wagon and Rodger Ramjet were pretty cool.

What song most reminds you of your schooldays?

The Boo Radleys's Wake Up Boo. It was on the radio when I was getting my Leaving Cert results.

What food most reminds you of your schooldays?

We brought our own food in and thankfully my Mum is hot property in the kitchen, so I always had lovely lunches.

Who did you take to your debs?

A buddy.

Would you send your children to the same school you went to?

Well, not if they were boys. I loved my schooldays, though, so why not?

What was the best thing about your education?

The best thing about my education was learning about my strengths and weaknesses - we were always encouraged to work to our advantages, and since I talked non-stop during class, I found a job which suited nicely!

What was the worst thing about your education?

Perhaps the fact that we were limited in our subject choices? That's probably changed now though.
