A look at the life of Sean Moncrieff.
Current job: Presenter, Newstalk 106
What schools did you go to? Garbally College in Ballinasloe, Co Galway. I went to primary school in England.
Best subject? English, and therefore the subject I did the least work at.
Worst subject? Maths. I still have dreams about heading into a maths tests.
What's the boldest thing you ever did in school? Threw a spud at a teacher. I missed.
Who was your favourite teacher and why? All my English teachers. It was my favourite subject, but they also tended to have a better sense of humour and would indulge me being a smartass. It also taught me that it is possible to make a living from being a show-off.
Who was the object of your first crush? Can't remember. Puberty was a blur of unfullfilled desire.
What was your earliest career ambition? To be an astronaut. When I six we were told we'd all be living on the moon by now.
Were you cool or nerdy at school? Not nerdy - but, due to my lack of sporting ability, not exactly cool.
Did you go to college? I studied journalism at what was then the College of Commerce in Rathmines. Later I did a degree at UCD in English and philosophy.
What song most reminds you of your school days? New Kid in Town - The Eagles.
What would you look for when choosing a school for your children? A school that realises a child is more than exam results and goes some way towards protecting kids from the pressure of the State exam system. I want my children to do well, but not at the cost of robbing them of the joy of youth.
Were your school days the best days of your life? God, no. The best days haven't happened yet.
