Throughout the nine month course, students are based at the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business and visit different companies to complete specific marketing assignments. There are 30 places on the full time course and the deadline for applications is February 23rd. Further information is available from Sarah Wood (tel: (01)706 8910).

If the prospect of home produced honey on your breakfast table sounds attractive, the introductory course in apiculture run by the Co Dublin Beekeepers' Association might be a good place to start learning about the age old art of beekeeping. The course, which begins today, is designed for people with no previous knowledge of beekeeping and covers all the practical aspects of getting going for the very modest fee of £10. Further information is available from Billy Mellon (tel: (01) 288 0018).

If you are planning a return to work or a career change in 1996, the career development course run by the education department of the Dublin Well Woman Centre may be of interest. The two day course is run over a weekend and it is on offer February 17th and 18th and May 18th and 19th. It will help participants assess their personal skills, develop job search abilities and look at different career options. The course fee is £90, the venue is Upper Mount Street and participation is limited to 12 people. For further information contact Margaret (tel: (01) 662 1497).
