Stillorgan College of Further Education Open Day:  Stillorgan College of Further Education is holding an open day today from 9.30am to 3.30pm. Visitors can talk to staff about the courses on offer and view the college's facilities.

Young People's Experiences of Crime Programme Spring Seminar Series: The series continues at the Centre for Social and Educational Research, Dublin Institute of Technology tomorrow from 4pm to 6pm. Dr Simon Winlow, University of York, will talk on Youth Identities, Violence and the Night-Time Economy. The lecture will take place in the boardroom, 23 Mountjoy Square, Dublin 1. Seminars on Learning Difficulties ... The National BUA Centre provides assessment and support to people across the full spectrum of Specific Processing/Learning Difficulties (SPLDs). The centre was established in 2003 in partnership between NTDI, the Dyscovery Centre in Cardiff, and the Institute of Technology Blanchardstown,

The series of six, one-day seminars begins with Demystifying Specific Learning Difficulties on Thursday, April 7th. Other seminars are: Dyspraxia Management - Thursday, April 28th; Responding to Dyslexia - Thursday, May 5th; Asperger's and Social Communication - Thursday, May 12th; Organisation skills for Adults with ADD - Thursday, May 19th; Assistive Technology, Matching Person with Technology - Thursday, May 26th.

All of the seminars will take place at the Institute of Technology Blanchardstown, and cost €95 for the day. The seminar series will be of particular interest to parents, teachers and professionals.

STEPS Magical Science Show: The Science Technology and Engineering Programme for Schools (STEPS) are holding a series of Magical Science Shows for 5,000 primary students in seven venues across the State in the coming months.
