College Fair for Students with Disabilities and Specific Learning Difficulties
"Better options" is the theme of a college fair for students with disabilities and specific learning difficulties tomorrow from 1pm to 4pm in the atrium at Dublin Institute of Technology, Aungier Street.
Those thinking of applying to third level can visit to see what higher education institutions have to offer, how to apply for a college place and what supports are available. Admission is free.

The Ted Nevill Lecture Series in Geology at UCC
The inaugural lecture of this memorial series will take place tomorrow at 8pm in the geography lecture theatre, ground floor, Geology and Geography Building, O'Donovan's Road, UCC
The lecture is titled "Europe's Natural Resources - A Sunset Industry" and will be delivered by John Clifford of Clifford Consultants. The talk will consider Europe's natural resource requirements and its security of supply. It will examine the potential for resource discoveries, using Ireland as an example, and consider the sector as it might be developed in the 21st century. All welcome.
Dyslexia and starting secondary school
How Auditory Processing impacts on Dyslexia in children heading for Secondary School is the title of a talk and presentation at an open day at the Cluas centre in Tallaght, Co Dublin on Saturday, December 13th. Visitors are welcome at Cluas in the morning from 10am to noon, or in the afternoon from 2pm to 4pm. Interested parents can view the centres facilities, meet staff and discuss how children with developmental difficulties or delays may benefit from a programme at Cluas. Intercultural School Competition
Limerick primary schools and transition year students in secondary schools are invited to participate in an intercultural poster and poetry competition with the theme "Many Cultures, One Home".
Entries should be submitted on an A4 page with the student's name, school and class year written on the bottom righthand corner. The deadline for entries is December 15th. Information Sessions for Mature Students in TCD
Trinity College Dublin is holding a number of information sessions for mature students until the end of January 2009. Interested prospective students who attend will be provided with the information that they require to make informed decisions about their future academic careers.
