A £250,000 donation to Wesley College by the family of past pupil Philip Berber has been used to establish a new bursary fund. The bursaries will be paid to young people who would like to attend the college but cannot do so for financial reasons. The donors want the bursary to go to one or more pupils who will be able to make a significant contribution to the life of the college. Their talents need not necessarily be in the academic field, they could also be in sport, music or art.

Part of the donation will go towards building a music and arts centre on the college grounds. Wesley College is inviting families to apply on behalf of a child who would like to enter the first year of their secondary education in September 2001. The closing date for completed application forms is April 23rd. Further details from the Development Office on (01) 2987066 or 0872595592.
