This Friday is Energy Watch Day, the final day of Energy Awareness Week, and to mark the occasion, Education & Living and the Irish Energy Centre are offering pupils a chance to win a library of popular books for their class. A class library will be awarded to two lucky winners in our art competition.
The books, provided by International Education Services, the Leixlip, Co Kildare, school and library suppliers, contain some of the best titles you could hope to find, including works by Roald Dahl, Marita Conlon-McKenna, Anne Fine and Michael Morpurgo, as well as the New Oxford Children's Encyclopaedia . Now that you've been learning about energy all week, why not use your knowledge and energy to draw a picture or design for our competition? There are two categories in the competition and two subjects on which to base your entry:
Category A is for pupils under 10 years and we want you to draw a picture or design for this caption: I'll wrap your hot water up in a nice warm jacket - I'm Larry Lagging Jacket. Draw me keeping your water nice and hot
Category B is for 10-12 year olds and your task is to draw your image of the energy efficient house of the future.
