Paris - Two armed groups killed six civilians in Algeria in separate attacks and two people died in a bomb attack, Algerian newspapers said yesterday. Four people were killed at a professional training centre in Frenda town, some 250 km south-west of the capital, Algiers, between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, Le Matin newspaper said.
The dead were the centre's caretaker, his wife, their son and a fourth unidentified person. The family's 14-year-old daughter was taken away by the attackers. Algerian authorities blame Muslim rebels for the attacks on civilians, most of whom are killed by having their throats cut.
Liberte newspaper said an armed group killed two civilians at Domas, in Ain Defla province, on the same night, while in the same province on Tuesday a car bomb killed two people and wounded two between Hadessari and El Biri.
