An eight-year-old girl was injured when the car she was travelling in was attacked by rioters in Belfast last night.
The girl suffered minor facial cuts in the attack, which happened when up to 70 rioters gathered in Whitewell Road, North Belfast.
In what police described as "a series of disturbances", rioters threw petrol bombs on to the M2 motorway from the Longlands Estate and a house in Serpentine Gardens was also targeted.
No injuries were reported after the petrol bomb attacks, a police spokesman said. One man was arrested on suspicion of public-order offences.
