Eircom has won contracts worth euro 10 million from leading computer companies Compaq and IBM.

Eircom will provide Compaq with a telecommunications system for Compaq’s technical support call centres. The contract extends over a three-year period.
Eircom will provide IBM a high speed broadband link between IBM's seven Dublin sites through Eircom symphony ATM network.
Commenting on today's announcement, Mr Cathal Magee, managing director, Eircom Ireland said, "The fact that these customers have chosen Eircom's network is a recognition of the advanced nature of our technology."
Mr Jack Cunnane, director of Compaq Ireland said his company has renewed its contract because of Eircom’s quality of service and its ability to increase its network size to accommodate more call centre locations and add additional services.
