A woman in her early 80s has been killed in a car crash near Roscrea, Co Tipperary.
She was fatally injured when her car collided with a van shortly after 5pm on the N62 between Birr and Roscrea at the townland of Loughnavatta.
The dead woman's body was removed to Nenagh hospital for post mortem tomorrow, a Garda statement said.
The driver of the van was also injured and taken to Nenagh hospital with leg injuries. He was subsequently removed to Limerick Regional Hospital.
