The wife of golfer Tiger Woods has issued libel proceedings against the Dubliner magazine for publishing fake nude pictures of her during the Ryder Cup. A US-based lawyer for Elin Woods (above) told The Irish Times that she had filed a writ against the magazine in the High Court.
The September edition of the Dubliner carried bogus nude pictures of Ms Woods alongside a story on some of the US Ryder Cup wives, which prompted a furious response from Tiger Woods. The magazine later apologised and said the article had been satirical.
