The irrepressible Ernie Els has come out firing in his third round to lead the Volvo PGA at Wentworth alongside England's Paul Casey who shot a round of 64 this morning to leave himself ten under par in the clubhouse.

Els opened with two birdies and an eagle through four holes while Casey finished a flawless round with an eagle on 18 to move into the driving seat after Stephen Leaney had earlier gone into the clubhouse in the lead after a 65.

Darren Clarke, partnered by Sweden's Niclas Fasth, has just got his round off to a solid start with two pars and sits comfortably one shot off the lead he held overnight. Fasth missed a birdie opportunity on the par three second, but stays in a strong third place on eight under.

Nearing the end of his round is Ronan Rafferty after a mixed card of four birdies, two bogies and a double bogey to stay on three under with two to play.
