Professional and technical staff employed in Enterprise Ireland have accepted a once-off payment of £4,300 in final settlement of a two-year dispute over pay parity with former Bord Trachtala staff.
Enterprise Ireland management had offered £2,000 while the Manufacturing, Science and Finance union, which represents the 150 staff concerned, had sought £7,000. The Labour Court split the difference.
The dispute began after SIPTU, which represents about 700 of the approximately 1,200 staff in Enterprise Ireland, concluded its own complex pay harmonisation deal yielding increases of between eight and 25 per cent.
