Production at the ESB's Cahirciveen power station is to resume tomorrow, following the resolution of a month-long dispute over staffing.
Cahirciveen is the last turfburning power station in the Republic and there were fears that the livelihoods of more than 300 turf-cutters would be affected if it closed.
An ESB spokesman said the company has no plans to close the plant. "The value of the station to the local community and to the turf suppliers is a major priority to the ESB," he said.
