Manila - Investigators looking into alleged corruption by deposed Philippines president, Mr Joseph Estrada, said yesterday they were turning their attention to his wife and mistresses after finding massive withdrawals from the former first lady's bank accounts.
The ombudsman's office said Ms Luisa Ejercito, who is contesting the senate elections in May, withdrew 109 million pesos ($2.3 million) from a branch of Citibank NA on February 1st, shortly before the internal revenue bureau froze her family's accounts.
