One of the world's fastest-growing airlines which is to begin direct flights between Dublin and Abu Dhabi at the start of next month has placed an $2.2 billion order for 12 wide-bodied Airbus planes.
In a statement today the airline said the new aircraft would allow it to continue to expand its range of routes.
Etihad will fly four times a week between Ireland and the UAE, cutting the journey time to Australia and Asia for Irish travellers.
