The European Commission unveiled an agriculture plan at the World Trade Organisation this afternoon calling for a 45-per cent cut in export subsidies, a 55-per cent decrease in domestic aid and a 36-per cent cut in tariffs, European Agriculture Commissioner Mr Franz Fishler said.

The plan submitted to the WTO also includes measures specifically aimed at helping developing countries.
