Irish airline EUjet today said it would start daily flights between its base at Shannon and Kent International Airport from September.
The company also said it planned to offer three daily return flights between Dublin and Shannon airports and weekend scheduled services from Shannon to Faro, Malaga, Murcia and Geneva during the skiing season.
EUjet is headed by Mr PJ McGoldrick, a former Ryanair chief executive. It plans to operate 29 European routes from its UK hub at Kent International Airport.
The airline is a collaborative venture with Europe's largest aircraft lessor, debis AirFinance which is part of the DaimlerChrysler group.
It was established 12 months ago and employs over 130 people. It expects to add over 100 additional staff by the end of this year with half the new jobs based at Shannon.
As result of its expansion Eujet will take an additional three aircraft on lease from debis bringing its fleet of Fokker 100s to seven.
