Cannabis with an estimated street value of €70,000 was seized by gardaí and Customs and Excise officials at Dublin Airport yesterday.
The drugs were found in the luggage of a South African man after he had been stopped by officials in the joint operation.
Gardaí were last night questioning a man in connection with the seizure at Santry Garda Station.
He was arrested under the Misuse of Drugs Act and can be held for up to seven days before being released or charged.
