Temple Bar Gallery and Studio has an unusual sale of artwork this Christmas. Anonymous works of art, like the one on the left, each a uniform 36cm square, will all sell for the same price of €300 each.
Called 50-50, the show will include over 200 artists, both Irish and international, known and unknown.
Each artist has been given a square of either canvas, Perspex or board and has been asked to work on the theme of equality, partnership or mutually beneficial relationships.
The finished works will hang in the gallery with no identification, so that people will choose what really appeals to them.
The identity of the artist will only be revealed later.
This show is a successor to last year's 20-20 Show in the same gallery. Artists this year include such names as Robert Ballagh, Cecily Brennan, Susan McWilliams, Noel Sheridan, Nigel Rolfe, John Cronin, Frederica Bastide Duarte, Michael Kane and many more.
The show opens on Tuesday December 16th on an invitation only night and then runs for a week until December 23rd.
