Dublin Bus's Nitelink service has been extended for the Christmas period to cater for late night revellers and others enjoying the festive season.
Since yesterday, the 24 Nitelink routes will be running seven days a week until January 5th, excluding Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
Buses on the routes will also operate a full Saturday night timetable until Sunday December 23rd and on New Year's Eve, with most routes operating every half an hour until 4.30am.
Fares are €4 for most journeys, and €6 for longer trips.
Tickets can be purchased from ticket buses based at Nitelink departure points on College Street (southbound), D'Olier Street (northbound) and Westmoreland Street (westbound).
Separately, a river taxi is also in operation from Bachelor's Walk to the IFSC, starting next Saturday and Sunday and continuing between Wednesday, December 19th, and Sunday December 23rd.
Timed to coincide with the 12 Days of Christmas festival at George's Dock in the IFSC, the service commences at noon and costs €2 per adult; children travel free.
Cruise times are as follows: December 15th - noon to 2pm, 4pm to 6pm; December 16th - 12pm to 3pm, 5pm to 6pm; December 19th - noon to 6pm; December 20th - noon to 6pm; December 21st - noon to 6pm; December 22nd - noon to 6pm; December 23rd - noon to 3:30pm, 5pm to 6pm.
