Relatives who drove nearly two hours to take injured children to an Italian hospital in Kabul said they did not know what caused the explosion at the school in the town of Sarobi, about 50 kilometres east of Kabul.

There was an explosion in the class and 30 children (aged between seven and 12) were injured, one man, who rushed three of his nephews to the hospital in Kabul.
