Bradford - Extra police officers were on duty in Bradford last night after more than a hundred youths rioted through city centre streets, torching cars and throwing petrol bombs.

Three men were arrested after the clashes on Sunday night which saw eight people injured, three pubs damaged and several cars torched.

Police officers in riot gear were drafted into the suburb of Lidget Green from across West Yorkshire as the fighting escalated throughout the evening, with large groups of youths hurling stones and bricks through windows. The violence is believed to have started in the Coach House pub, where a Hindu wedding was taking place.
