A bread delivery man was killed in Co Laois yesterday when a pallet of loaves toppled over on him. The accident occurred at Clelland's supermarket depot at Clonminham Industrial Estate outside Portlaoise, at 5.30 a.m.
Gardai believe the man was removing a large pallet from the rear of the truck when it tipped over and crushed him. He was believed to be married and in his 40s, from Co Meath.
