A group of 10 demonstrators gathered outside the Chinese embassy in Dublin today to protest the death of 15 female Falun Gong practitioners last month.
The demonstrators believe the women, who died at Wanjia Labor Camp in Harbin City, China,were tortured to death and want Chinese authorities to give further information about their deaths.
The Wanjia Reeducation Camp authorities said the woman committed suicide by hanging themselves with ropes made out of sheets.
The protestors claim 35 Chinese citizens who practice Falun Gong have died in police custody or due to police torture.
They said the authorities plan to use force to make all Falun Gong practitioners renounce the movement by July 20th.
The Chinese government says the Falun Gong is a cult that has led more than 1,600 followers to their deaths - mostly by encouraging practitioners to use meditation instead of medicine to cure medical ailments.
Officials also claim followers have killed themselves in the belief they will go to heaven when they die.
The spiritual movement has been banned in China since July 1999.
